Sehwag’s .25-.25 Vision

One of the most anticipated series between India and Australia is just days away and one of India’s and in fact world’s most feared openers will have a different vision for the series.

This is what AN Sharma the coach of the Daredevils skipper had to say to a leading daily. “He was fine in the nets,"

The news is that Sehwag has been practicing with glasses on and he may be wearing them in the middle in the forthcoming series against the Aussies. It has been learnt that the prolific opener has been doing so on the advice of the doctors who have told him wear 0.25 power corrective lenses due to mild headache. It too some extent explains some of the poor form that we saw from him in the recent one day series against Pakistan where he was eventually dropped for the third ODI.

We will have to wait and see whether the player bats with the glasses on or not.

I for one cannot see any harm with him wearing the glasses, two of my favorite players Clive Lloyd and Daniel Vettori have played with the glasses on and you would qualify both of them as legends of the game. Even Hashim Amla in the early part of his career wore glasses.

It’s also better to support them now then to have the number increased. I have played cricket and have not had any hindrance in doing any aspect of the game.

Let’s hope Virender Sehwag can return to his devastating best. It would be a treat to the eye ;)
