Taxi for Rohit Sharma

There is no doubt that Rohit Sharma is a talent, we all know that, however in the last few months that talent has been seen. Not in the colors of India anyways. When selected for the triangular series in Australia his performances were poor and did not justify his place. In the current one day series too he has not pulled up any trees. Sure he had a good Indian premier league (IPL), but hey the commentators there are paid to make you look great.

The point is simple if you keep on picking players who are continuously underperforming then you are compromising the national issue. What makes the matter even more of a non funny joke is the fact when you do drop him you say he has been rested. What kind of f***ing logic is this. What kind of signal does this send to any other cricketer who is knocking on the door? In addition there is plenty of talent that selectors can call upon.

The selectors need to straighten this up, they need to stop fostering this clique culture and bring in players who merit a place in the team. May I suggest give Rohit Sharma some time off and make him realize what needs to be done by him? He is still young and has plenty of time on his hands to comeback. With three years still to the world cup in Australia the time to experiment is now.

What’s that saying spare the rod, spoil the child.
